What are your thoughts for 2018?

It is very usual for me to become quite reflective as we go from the old year to the new. It is important to me that each year I improve an area of my life, no matter how small that change should be.

As I look towards 2018 and back on 2017 I am amazed at how far God has brought me this year. At the start of 2017 I was struggling with working full time in a new and quite demanding job, my children and myself were still suffering from a little “shell shock’ from my marriage breakdown, in short I was a barely functioning mess who was quite adept at making sure my ‘mask’ was in place before going out in public. Counting it all joy!

The world has a saying “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger!” and it is true.  It is so hard to see the silver lining when you are going through the darkness of abuse, depression, grief, I know only too well how hard it is.  However, don’t give up!  One day you will get the opportunity to look back down that dark tunnel from the other side and you will be amazed at how strong you have become while dealing with the hardship!
